Wraith is Steve Metze’s supernatural novel. In the words of its own jacket copy: “A woman out of time enlists an Iraqi war veteran to battle a group of modern day necromancers.”
Its hero comes home from a war Steve knows firsthand; he served in Tikrit, Iraq, in 2005. And it was a long time coming: he was already building a home for the book online in 2010, seven years before it reached print.

The road to print

The book first got a site of its own on June 30, 2010: wraithnovel.com, under the line “A Novel by Steve Metze,” with the early cover art shown here. In August 2013 that site was folded into this one and its address pointed at this page. The Internet Archive kept copies of the original; the earliest is from February 2011, and the last from July 2013.
Other novels share the title, among them Angel Lawson’s young adult Wraith (2012), which is the book at wraithbook.com, and Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens’s thriller Wraith (2016). This one is by Steven E. Metze, the author of The Zombie Monologues.
